The Gummy Shark Fabrics brand ("Gummy Shark") sets out these terms for the goods and services offered on this website, to protect your rights as a buyer, keep each transaction running smoothly and make after-sales responsibilities clear.

Gummy Shark is committed to making fur fabric of better quality, at better prices, in more colours and with more consistent results. We listen to every customer and do everything we can to make sure you are happy with our products.

Thank you for choosing our fur fabric. Please read about the normal characteristics of fur fabric below before you buy. If you later run into a shipping problem, or a quality problem that is not one of the characteristics described below, contact us promptly as set out in these terms.

1. Normal characteristics of fur fabric (not quality defects)

The following are normal results of how fur fabric is made and shipped. They are not quality defects, they do not affect use of the product, and they are not grounds for a return or exchange:

  1. Serged edges: Edges are finished by machine serging, so they are firm and the stitching is visible. This is a standard way to reinforce the edge and stop the fabric fraying, not a flaw.
  2. Light shedding: New fur fabric drops loose fibres when it is first used or cut. A small amount of shedding is normal for this type of product, and a lint brush or similar tool clears it easily.

Important: If you have sensitive airways or allergies, wear a mask before use and while cutting, so you don't breathe in fine fibres. Shedding drops noticeably after the first wash.

  3. Cutting tolerance: For products cut to order (such as fabric sold by length), the cut length may vary by up to about ±3 cm because of the nature of the fabric and the cutting process. This is within a reasonable range, and we add extra fabric wherever we can when we ship.
  4. Marks on the backing: The back of some pieces may carry marks from the water-soluble pens used in production, usually small light dots or short lines. They have no effect on the product's performance, safety or lifespan, and most fade after the first wash or become very hard to see.
  5. Shipping creases: Creases after rolled or folded packing and long-distance transport are very common and normal. We fold the fabric as little as possible when shipping, or roll it onto a tube, to reduce creasing. Creases are easy to smooth out:
    • Hair dryer: On the hot setting, blow over the creased area along the direction of the pile while gently smoothing it by hand.
    • Garment steamer: Steam along the direction of the pile in the same way, for an even better result.

Caution: Never press an iron directly onto the fabric at high heat. It can damage the fibres and leave the pile flattened or curled. Don't steam at high heat for long periods either, as this can damage the fabric permanently.

Understanding and accepting these normal characteristics is a condition of buying this product. If the item you receive shows only the characteristics described above, we cannot offer a return or exchange.

2. Damage in transit

Check the outside of the parcel carefully before you sign for it. If the parcel is torn, stained, far off its stated weight, or has been opened and resealed more than once, do not sign for it. Contact us and the carrier so we can resolve it together.

  1. Definition: Transit damage means the goods are torn, deformed, stained, badly snagged over a large area or unusable because of a shipping cause such as crushing, impact, damp, contamination or rough sorting. It does not include minor creases in the packaging or loose threads that have no effect on use.
  2. What to do:
    • Inspect on delivery: Before signing, check the outer packaging and the goods together with the courier. If the packaging is badly torn, crushed, wet or contaminated, smells strongly or shows scorch marks, or the goods are visibly damaged when opened, take photos or video on the spot that clearly show the packaging, the damage and the shipping label. Refuse the delivery and contact our customer service straight away to log it.
    • Found after signing: If nothing looked wrong when you signed but you find transit damage after opening the parcel, and you have clear evidence that it happened in transit, send our customer service clear photos or video of the outer packaging, the whole item, the damage and the shipping label within 24 hours of signing, with a short description of what happened.
  3. How we resolve it (once transit damage is confirmed):
    • First option: We send you a replacement of the same item free of charge.
    • Alternative: If the item is out of stock or you no longer want it, we refund you in full to your original payment method.

We settle all related losses with the carrier ourselves. You pay nothing extra.

  4. Important: Signing for a parcel means you accept that its packaging and appearance are in good condition. Transit damage reported more than 24 hours after signing is in principle not accepted, unless you have conclusive evidence that it could not have been seen at the time of signing and was caused by the carrier.Keep the original packaging and the damaged goods so the carrier can verify the claim.

3. Lost parcels

  1. Definition: Tracking shows the parcel was shipped but has not updated for a long time, beyond the carrier's usual delivery window and with no reasonable explanation; or tracking shows it was delivered but you did not receive it at all.
  2. What to do:
    • Tracking has stopped: If tracking has not updated for more than 40 days, contact our customer service with your order number. We will chase the carrier for you and follow the parcel until it is resolved.
    • Shown as delivered but not received:
      1. First check whether a family member, colleague or building management took the parcel in for you, and check every pickup point or parcel locker where it may have been left.
      2. Once you are sure no one took it in for you, contact our customer service right away (we recommend within 48 hours of the delivery scan) with your order number. We will immediately open a "not received" investigation with the carrier.
  3. How we resolve it (once the loss is confirmed):
    • First option: We send you a replacement of the same item free of charge as soon as possible.
    • Alternative: If you no longer want the item, we refund you in full to your original payment method.

We settle all related losses with the carrier ourselves.

  4. Important: Make sure your delivery address is accurate and complete, and that someone is usually there to receive parcels. Keep an eye on tracking too, and contact customer service promptly if anything looks wrong.

4. Shipping

Once we receive your order and have confirmed all of your requirements, we usually need 3 days to process it and turn your requirements into an internal production order. As soon as that order is confirmed, we ship your goods. Delivery time depends on the shipping option shown when you placed your order.

5. Other terms

  1. Returns and exchanges for reasons other than quality: If you want to return or exchange an item for personal reasons, for example because you don't like it or chose the wrong size or colour, the item must be undamaged and unused, with all tags and its original packaging. You pay the return shipping and bear the risk of damage or loss while it is in transit.
  2. Quality problems: If the item has a quality problem not caused by shipping, such as heavy unravelling, large areas of uneven dye or material that does not match its description, contact customer service within 7 days of receipt with photos or video, and we will send you a brand-new replacement free of charge.
  3. Force majeure: Where shipping delays, damage or loss are caused by force majeure, such as natural disasters, war, major epidemics or government action, both parties may agree to postpone performance or to waive liability in part.

HMFurry (幻毛造物) reserves the right of final interpretation of these terms. Please read them in full before you buy. By completing a purchase, you agree to all of these terms.
